Do you treat your marketing like you treat a diet?  Are you taking shortcuts or having cheat days?  Are you looking at it as something you do temporarily, instead of looking at it as a lifestyle change?  Many times people will go on a diet to prepare for a vacation or wedding, making it a circumstantial event.  The same goes for marketing, people will need new clients or extra income, so they start marketing their services in desperation.  If you want these to be lifelong changes, you have to work at it consistently.  For both marketing and dieting, you get out of it exactly what you put into it.  If you’re not getting the results you expect, reverse engineer it and pinpoint where you’re falling short.
